Thoughtfully designed for comfort, relaxation, and easy mountain memories, this fresh new build sleeps up to 5 with 2 king bedrooms, 2 ensuite bathrooms, and a twin pullout couch in the living room. Additional occupancy may be considered upon request for travelers comfortable with the sleeping setup.

✨ What Makes Ember & Fern Special ✨

Ember & Fern brings together fresh new-build comfort, peaceful mountain scenery, and some seriously good cabin amenities. Both bedrooms feature king beds, Smart TVs, ensuite bathrooms, and sliding glass doors leading directly to the back deck where the hot tub is located. That means morning coffee, evening soaks, and fresh air are just steps from your room.

The outdoor setup is a major part of the experience. Stretch out on the wraparound deck, take in the gorgeous view, unwind in the dry sauna, soak in the hot tub, grill dinner with provided propane, or head down the gravel hill to the firepit area for a cozy night under the stars.

The kitchen is fully equipped for easy meals, snacks, and slow mornings at the cabin. Amenities include a massive French-style refrigerator with pullout freezer drawer and built-in water and ice dispensers, dishwasher, cookware, dinnerware, and the essentials needed for a comfortable stay.
The large kitchen island adds extra space for meal prep, serving, and casual dining: perfect for coffee, breakfast, snacks, or gathering while dinner comes together.
A Keurig is provided, along with K-Cups, creamer cups, sugar, and Splenda packs to help your mornings start smoothly.

The living room includes comfortable sectional seating, an electric fireplace, Smart TV, high-speed Starlink Wi-Fi, and a twin pullout couch for additional sleeping.

Sleeps up to 5. Additional occupancy may be considered upon request if travelers are comfortable with the sleeping setup.

🚿 Bathrooms 🚿
Ember & Fern includes 2 ensuite bathrooms, both with stand-up showers and single vanities. Please note that each bathroom is accessed through a bedroom, so you will need to enter a bedroom to use a bathroom.

♨️ Outdoor Living ♨️

Step outside to enjoy the wraparound deck with gorgeous views, private hot tub, dry sauna, outdoor sectional, gas grill with provided propane, and peaceful wooded surroundings. Both bedrooms have sliding glass doors leading to the back deck, making hot tub access extra convenient.
The firepit area includes seating and is located down the gravel hill from the cabin. Please note that reaching the firepit does require walking downhill.

🧺 Starter Essentials 🧺

Fresh linens and towels are provided. We also include an Essential Starter Pack to make your stay easier: 2 rolls of toilet paper, 1 roll of paper towels, shampoo, conditioner, bar soap, 3 dishwasher pods, 3 laundry pods, 3 trash bags, and 1 fresh sponge.

🔥 Firewood + Grill 🔥

Propane is provided for the gas grill.

Firewood is not provided at the cabin, but it is available for purchase at the gas station about a mile down the road. We encourage purchasing firewood locally to help prevent the spread of invasive species and protect our beautiful wooded areas.

🚗 Parking + Access 🚗

Ember & Fern is located up a gravel hill with a flat gravel driveway with space for up to 4 cars. The hill is not overly steep, and 2WD should be sufficient during normal weather conditions. Because Ember & Fern is a brand-new build, GPS may not recognize the address correctly or may route you in an odd way. We highly recommend using the dropped map pin and turn-by-turn directions provided before check-in.

As with most mountain stays, 4WD is recommended during snow, ice, heavy rain, or other inclement weather.

There is a Ring camera located at the front door. The camera is exterior-facing only and does not view private interior spaces.

Ember & Fern gives you a peaceful new-build retreat while keeping Red River Gorge adventure close by. The property is approximately 8 miles, or about a 12-minute drive, from Natural Bridge State Resort Park, making it an easy home base for hiking, climbing, kayaking, canoeing, zip lining, sightseeing, scenic overlooks, local restaurants, and shops.

Spend the day exploring all the Gorge has to offer, then head back for hot tub time, sauna sessions, dinner on the grill, and a quiet night tucked into the trees. Ember & Fern is a brand-new build, so GPS may not recognize the address correctly or may try to route you in an odd way. To avoid any confusion, we highly recommend using the dropped map pin and turn-by-turn directions provided before check-in rather than relying only on your GPS app.
